SHARE's Food Bank provides nutritious fresh food to over 5,000 individuals each month. Demand for the Food Bank has increased significantly again this year. SHARE registers new families every week.
One-third of food bank users are children and youth. From crunchy vegetables and tasty fruit to eggs and milk, access to these foods ensures that children receive essential vitamins and minerals necessary for growth, learning, and overall health.
12% of all SHARE Food Bank users are seniors.
SHARE’s Food Bank is more than just food, our Community Navigators connect clients to other supports such as affordable housing, counselling, employment services and more.
